Whilst we encourage you to write your sponsored child on a wide variety of topics,
we must ask that you refrain from focusing on the following:
* Material Possessions. New cars, new houses, bank balance, cell phones, etc.
* Holidays. Trips overseas, theme parks, resorts, etc.
* Personal Problems. Rough day at work, car broke down, argument with spouse, etc.
* Sending of Gifts.
The following cannot be discussed in any shape or form - letters containing any of the following will
be returned with staff commentary indicating why your letter could not be given to the child. It is not
possible for our staff to modify your letter. You may edit returned letters and resubmit.
* Your residential or business contact details.
* Your Email address.
* Telephone Numbers.
* Requests for contact details of any kind from the child.
* Hints or suggestions of visiting the Philippines.
* Relatives or friends you may have living in the Philippines
Whilst it has never happened, and indeed we don't expect it would, we must inform you that
any letters containing abusive, racist, or otherwise offensive content, shall not be sent.
Given the severity of the content, access may be revoked from the letter service indefinitely.
Please do be aware that all submitted letters will be checked for those items listed above. If your letter
is returned with a status of 'Unsent', a comment will be provided outlining why it could not be sent.
If this is the case, you may adjust it accordingly and then re-submit. Staff will not, and can not modify
your letters under any circumstances.
We would kindly ask you to note also that this service is, at present, largely one way. This
means that the child will most certainly receive your letter, however given the current logistics
we are not able to consistently guarantee a response from the child beyond those times
outlined in your sponsorship package.
